ATC hosted a Recreational Coach Workshop on Saturday April 14th. Despite the rainy weather, we were thrilled to have guest instructor Jason Jamison, USTA's national manager for Schools Tennis. Jason led nearly three dozen parents, coaches and tennis enthusiasts in the USTA's games-based approach to learning tennis, including the "Top 10 Games Every Coach Should Know". With fun drills and music, participants used transition balls and learned the concept of scaling down tennis so youth can be successful and can begin playing right away with lighter racquets, slower balls, and smaller courts.
