About ATC

Founded in 2002, Amador Tennis Club's mission is to promote tennis as an enriching, healthy, lifelong sport to all people without discrimination. Over the past two decades, ATC has grown tennis in Amador County through projects, events and programs including:

  • More than two dozen seasons of our popular Junior Team Tennis League for kids ages 7-14. Over 1700 youth have participated, directly contributing to success of high school teams

  • Adult and junior tournaments

  • Tens of thousands of dollars in public facilities improvements including lighting, court repairs and resurfacing, nets, windscreens, benches, garbage cans, etc.

  • Assemblies and teacher in-service training in local elementary schools, including free equipment to schools

  • Clinics and camps for all ages

  • Rapid Rally competition with path to national championship

  • Partnership with the United States Tennis Association (USTA) Northern California section, including sharing information, programs, and opportunities sponsored by USTA Norcal (such as Tennis in Schools, Red/Orange/Green Jr tennis events, Tennis Champions program)

  • Expansion in 2015 as a chapter of the National Junior Tennis League (NJTL) which provides additional opportunities to our organization, including fully-paid scholarships to send Amador youth players to summer tennis camps in Northern California

  • Tennis in the Parks, “National Tennis Night Out” and tennis block party events

  • Regular social drop-in tennis for experienced adult players
